3A Tutors Ltd was established in 1999 by Dr Anthony Monks, who holds a PhD in Physics and has studied and worked at the Universities of Bristol and Reading. For Science specifically, the centre's most distinctive offering is providing A-Level Science practical endorsements through actual laboratory facilities at the University of Bristol - private candidates studying independently or via distance learning still need to complete required practical work, and 3A Tutors is one of relatively few centres nationally able to provide that access. The centre is a registered examination centre (JCQ Centre No. 50538) for Biology, Chemistry and Physics across all major boards, with fast-track 6-month GCSE Biology courses also available.
