About Chinese Institute (Auckland)
The Chinese Institute is one of New Zealand's largest language schools dedicated specifically to Chinese instruction, teaching immersion Mandarin classes at all HSK levels (1-6) to adults, teenagers, children and toddlers from its central Auckland Queen Street premises, plus a North Shore location at Northcote Memorial Hall and a Wellington campus. Classes are capped around 10 students, taught by native-speaking teachers with university degrees using Hanban HSK Standard Coursebooks; private lessons are also available at the school or at a student's home. Courses run in 8-class blocks (roughly NZD 150-200, working out to about NZD 19-25 per class) with no membership fees or lock-in contracts, and the Institute is a member of NZALT (New Zealand Association of Language Teachers).
