Launch Math + Science Centers

Launch Math + Science Centers was founded in 2008 by Scott Heifetz, a former rocket scientist, CFO and college professor, driven by a mission to inspire children to love math and science. Its Upper West Side flagship centre runs small-class STEM afterschool programs (robotics, rockets, electronics, game/app design, chemistry, physics) for K-8 students, alongside a One-2-One private tutoring program and in-school partnerships that bring Launch's curriculum directly to schools across Harlem, Queens and beyond. A published parent review describes a thorough initial assessment identifying a daughter's specific strengths and weaknesses, followed by remarkable one-month progress with a tutor she connected well with.
