SOAS Language Centre - Arabic

SOAS Language Centre operates the largest non-degree Arabic language programme in the UK, running over 120 scheduled Arabic courses a year with around 1,000 student registrations, taught by a team of nearly 20 teachers who are all native Arabic speakers. Courses cover Modern Standard Arabic, Qur'anic Arabic, Egyptian Colloquial and other dialects for both mother-tongue and non-mother-tongue speakers, structured across Beginner through Advanced and Proficiency levels (with the Advanced course requiring roughly 360 hours of prior formal study), delivered as one-to-one or small group tailored tuition. The centre also runs a fortnightly Arabic Conversation Club for enrolled students to practise pronunciation and conversation outside class. Courses are open to all adults 18+, students and non-students alike.
