The Japan Foundation, Sydney (J-Course)

The Japan Foundation, Sydney is part of Japan's official overseas cultural network and operates the Japan Cultural Centre Sydney out of Chippendale. Its J-Course is the Foundation's own adult Japanese program, taught mainly in Japanese using the JF Standard of Japanese Language Education, with a year-long Standard Course (available online) and a 10-week in-person taster course for absolute beginners, plus a separate 3-month online Marugoto Tutor-Support course; the Foundation also administers the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) in Sydney. Enrolment windows are seasonal (aligned to an academic calendar) rather than year-round open enrolment.
